Title
One time I heard this skateboarder dude talk about intrinsic value and how much it means to him to just create something, some trick, some project, anything; for the sake of creating it.
How precious it is to him... Maybe, possibly hoping there's someone else out there that will appreciate either effort or result. Even though that wasn't the goal. An optional non-objective, if you will.
I didn't really get it at the time.
But I do now.
It's rare, though.
If you do me a favour, I probably owe you. And there's a chance I could never live up to that. Ever.
Nothing I do or did will make us even. Not the sum of kindness or what's beyond it.
Someone will always remember that one time they did such and such. They really came through for us, didn't they?
Oh, yeah! That one time they did. Did they not?
It could be argued that since then they haven't come through for us. Or anyone. For anything.
At one point I ask to borrow something from someone; a tool, like a hammer, shall we say.
"Of course, no bother."
Was what I expected.

I would not ask you if I thought I was being that unreasonable. Or I would declare it, like a disclaimer "it's cool - if you can't it. I appreciate the hassle it'd be".
"What do I get in return?"
Was what I got instead.
"Oh, let's see. How about your hammer back and it stuck in your face at a very uncomfortable angle?"
You can't say that.
I can't say that.
I could say that.
But I still needed the hammer.
So, yeah...
That's the story of how I once borrowed a hammer. Or something.
PeterLicht once claimed he never heard of anyone who belongs to themselves.
My take: we all have to answer to someone.
For something.
Somehow.
Sometime.
All the time.
It's called responsibility and stuff.
Take a multimedia creator. An artist. An influencer.
Offered to promote stuff. Garbage. Filth.
Good pay.
His following gets it.
They explain it to each other. Justify it. Accept it. Deal with it. It's a good deal for the creator.
Some of his following is bound to pay for that. With money they never had. Some (parents) could not afford.
Who has influence over what here?
I don't fucking know.
I never worked a job where I had to promote another company, for money or otherwise. I may have rooted and vouched for my employer - in my capacity as a worker.
My take on that: I guess never had a real job.
Like a Streamer or YouTuber.
Just regular jobs.
Normal ones.
You remember when Brandon aka Badger hooked Jesse up with a Sales job? Or so the latter thought. Spinning numbers and heads - not cardboard signs.
Somehow that comes to mind. Seems like an honest job. Promoting a reputable business. Do's and Don'ts. Simple.
Or how bands, musicians get called out for style over substance?
Movements of a white flower come to mind...
How about this:
You censor your language, you tailor your output, your work, your art, your content?
You stand for free speech and net neutrality? Fair use?
And claim these are your concerns?

Lots to be sussed out...
