What Simon Does Foundation?
Description:
A little poem of sorts composed as though from the perspective of the character of Julie.
Which may be illogical given she's a painter. Although that in turn may be a form of self-accusation for lack of a better word.
This implies it works on different levels. As it should.
Pictures (D.o.W.)
You painted pictures
That weren't clear
You painted pictures
out of fear
You painted pictures
that were unclear
You painted pictures
of a fear
You painted pictures
but wouldn't hear
You painted pictures
You painted pictures
You painted pictures
Now it's clear
That they were but pictures
of your own fear
You painted pictures
But couldn't hear
that what you're so afraid of
is not the same as my fear
You painted pictures
You used to paint pictures
'cause you're used to painting pictures
And now they're pictures
I no longer see
You painted pictures
You painted pictures
You painted pictures
And yet never looked at them
